[NERW notes that WTIC would eventually have needed a new channel assignment
anyway, since neither channels 5 nor 61 are within the "core spectrum" of
channels 7-59 where all DTV is supposed to end up eventually.]

Not to nitpick, but according to FCC documents
(http://www.fcc.gov/Bureaus/Mass_Media/Orders/2001/fcc01024.txt) the "core
spectrum" is actually channels 2-51 and not 7-59.

(this line can be found on Section IV "Discussion Report & Order" Part A,
Paragraph 12)
