RE: WROR bits disc>?

Bill O asked:

Not
sure if it's new or been around awhile. <<

Bill,

as Gary pointed out, Tom's Townie Tunes was released at a full-blown
bash at Boston's Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday, October 2. Years in the making,
the disc includes musical tributes to the cities, towns, occupations and
landmarks of the Bay State such as The Golden Banana, Come to Medford, The
Big Dig and even Haverhill... all set to the appropriately recognizable
music tracks (Copacabanna, Come Together, Big Shot, Margaritaville). yes,
it took the lawyers over a year to get permission for the usage of the
music. discs are on sale at Borders, Best Buy, Reocrd Town, Strawberries,
For Your Entertainment, Newbury Comics and even at all Kelley's Roast Beef
and Seafood locations. buy one for yourself, and several for holiday gift
giving. proceeds will benefit Bridge Over Troubled Waters, a
runaway-and-displaced teen help group in Boston. even the ode to Natalie
which Tom assembled in record time upon hearing that Chet-n-Nat had split.
(Doyle has a long running thing for Natalie...) 14 tunes in all. a must
for any radio-lover's collection.
and yes, there is a way to purchase the disc online at wror.com
