Never mind: I did a web search for "radio sweeper" and found various
people's audio samples demonstrating what they are.  (Thanks, Don.)

Yes, Norm is right: the 'BZ sweeper voiceovers are annoying.  I especially
hate the ones with the phony-sounding electronically pitch-lowered
voice.  Rock listeners may groove to that junk, but I think it hurts 
'BZ's credibility.
