RE: AM 740 not doing Legal ID
WKNE-FM 103.7 "New England's Big Hits Station" from Keene New Hampshire uses
a lD near the top of the hour (I know because my family was up in that area
the first part of this weekend).. they say "You're listening to WKNE-FM
103.7 Keene/Brattleboro/Claremont/Greenfield.. New Englands Big Hits
station"..

Technically, both examples are not legal ID's.
WXKL-AM is not a valid set of call letters for an AM facility - only 3
or 4 letter callsigns are valid for AM stations (e.g. WHP Harrisburg or
WINS New York).
As far as WRKO's ID, I'd argue that the city should be formed as a noun,
not as an adjective...
Would the FCC do anything about it? Unlikely, considering other
technical violations that go ignored (or unnoticed).

WKXL-AM Concord/WKXL-FM Hillsboro-Concord-Manchester would NOT be legal
then, correct? (They say -AM)

Now that WRKO has changed it positioner to "Newstalk 680", they say...
"WRKO Boston's Newstalk 680" at the TOH...
Is "'s" an accepted TOH ID?
