Retrovoicer-er

Just curious - A devout TV Land junkie I have to ask - does anyone
know who the voice over guy is for so many of those spot tags in the
"Retromercials" like "...please...don't squeeze the Charmin" and
others.  Very low-key.  Has that smoker-timber that you don't <cough>
hear that often <wheeze> today.  That could lead to the question: How
have air voices (M&F) changed over the past decade of so, now that
fewer inhale?  Even Larry King's voice softened when he kicked the
chain smoking habit?
