Ahhh, Detroit. Home of WWWW (Country, 106.7) and WXYZ (ABC 7), as well
as (what was very confusing to me, initially) commercial Modern Rock at
88.7 (CIMX - Windsor, ON). I guess I'm showing my United
Statesian-centric view of the band plan.

Well I don't who changed to what when, but I seem to remember, that
once digital frequency read outs became popluar, more and more stations
changed from being WXYZ News 79 for example to giving the frequency
in full.
