Re: Weird programming changes

Apparently, co-owned stations carrying competing sports programming are not
in the cards for the L.A. market, but, a month of so ago, that's exactly
what was widely rumored to be about to commence there. Clear Channel owns
locally programmed sports talker KXTA 1150, whose signal, a couple of years
back, Jacor (now part of CC) upped to a 50 kW blowtorch. CC also owns KLAC
570. Replacement of the adult standards programming on that station by CC's
Fox sports was recently rumored to be imminent. AS must be gone from KLAC by
now, but the replacement, allegedly, isn't Fox sports but talk.

Why would anyone run competing sports talk programming on two
different stations that they own in the same market? Saga's 970 WZON
carries
ESPN Radio on the weekends.
