Natalie Jacobson and Chet Curtis ended their reign as the king and queen of
Boston TV last night at 6:30, signing off their final WCVB (Ch. 5) newscast
as co-anchors. They'll continue on, but separately, on air as in life.

``It is a sad day, after 30 years,'' Curtis said in a phone interview
moments before their final newscast. But he noted that the couple had
planned to leave the 11 p.m. newscast since their last contract
negotiations, three years ago
