Well, sorry to disappoint you, Bill...can't say for sure about the folk
dancing part, but pretty certain that it's a negative on the others. She's
a vegetarian, that's about it...

Of course, legendary Montreal broadcaster Jay Rubinstein, who did
"Broadway...My Way" for years on CFQR-FM 92.5, entertainment on the morning
show on CFCF 600AM, and a public affairs magazine show on the Videotron
Cable Network, said practically the same thing, albeit never broadcast,
that he was the token English-speaking, Jewish, senior citizen .... and
that if he, too, had been in a wheelchair, gay, and black, they would never
have considered cancelling his show when they did...

Jay Rubinstein was one of those characters of whom there are too few these
days in the media ... once on a media trip to New England, he spent an hour
arguing with a sales clerk in a Brooks Pharmacy to get his senior citizen's
discount, because he had a card stating "valid at all Jean Coutu-owned
pharmacies"...when the clerk wouldn't accept it, he had her call her
manager, his manager, everyone up the chain of command, until they
acknowledged that Brooks is owned by Jean Coutu of Montreal...thus,
technically, it was a Jean Coutu-owned pharmacy, and that the discount
should be proffered...
