I believe McMann has been Kasem's regular
fill-in since the show had shifted to AMFM from
Westwood One in March '98.  Kasem's move prompted a flurry of lawsuits which haven't been
settled yet.

In any case, AMFM is probably grooming
McMann to be Casey's successor some day.
Kasem, 67, now only works 2 days a week,
recording the show at his house studio in LA.

It took AMFM a whole year to clear AT40 in the #1 market. NYC's Z100 added Kasem's show
this March and now airs it 5-9am on Saturdays.
