Uh, like, that's a dood, sir.

The Maine Sunday Telegram's weekly "The Biblio Files" feature gives
readers a chance to write in, tell about their favorite books, and
get their picture in the paper.

This Sunday's entry was from -- well, fancy that:

  Name: Robert H. Gardiner
  Age: 55
  Residence: Augusta
  Occupation: president
  Employer: Maine Public Broadcasting

Mr. Gardiner writes that he is enjoying Wolfe's "A Man in Full"; he
wishes Tom Clancy would never write again; and his favorite author is
Evelyn Waugh: "...because her books are so witty and unpredictable. I
have read many of her books and have loved every one."

*Her* books?

So there's the man in charge of bringing cultcha to Maine TV viewers.
Hm: how shall we break this to Mr. Gardiner?
