Odd add placement

I can't make this stuff up: last night during TNT's
presentation of "Animal Farm", there was a scene of 
a pig character, Old Major, being slaughtered followed
a couple minutes later by a real-life ad of the
bearded guy from "Home Improvement" selling...sausage
links. 

I'm not a vegetarian or anything; just thought it kind
of bizarre. Sort of like the promotional tie-in
McDonald's had with the movie "Babe"--more Sausage
McMuffins, anyone?
