I've heard radio referred to as a "hot" medium and
TV as a "cool" medium (I think Jerry Williams used to
say that). So you'd expect radio talk hosts to be more
energetic in their approach, more confrontational 
(Jerry may have said that before Jerry Springer, ha)
than TV hosts. So maybe Barnicle comes across better
in a laid back style on TV than on the radio.
