best guess would be a concert thing.  (barbara feldon in concert?  "99" from 
Get Smart).
or, for you deep radio junkies out there...  maybe a return of  "NINE".  the 
ultimate format where the only thing said or heard was "NINE".  (as a 
competitor to "Q" and "Super Q").
sorry, gang.  the conspiracy theory thing (and lack of sleep) is starting to 
take it's toll.  
seriously:  probably a concert announcement, or maybe a "beatles" tie-in.  
the promotions departments, especially in "tease cases" like this, are very 
very tight lipped.  the details, seriously, are usually taped to the studio 
door for the AM drive host(s) the morning of the announcement.  
(the beatles did have fun with the number 9.   number 9.  number 9.  number 
9.  
and of course, the one after 909...)
