The deal is actually going to add 1,000,000 more TV homes
throughout New England for each C's road telecast on FSNE.
In this case, the C's are actually increasing their exposure
by going with cable-only deal. Considering how bad WABU
was in terms of setting up and marketing their road network
for the past 3 years, this is definitely a positive for
a team which is not going anywhere fast in the next few years.

IMHO, the C's made the right move. FSNE is really going to
be a regional powerhouse once they add Fox Sports Net(in January)
and acquire NESN(in 1-2 years).
