The National Association of Broadcasters recently did their best to kill the
recent idea of issuing A and N call letters to AM & FM stations, presumably
to keep "newer" or disadvantaged stations, not catering to NAB's party-line,
from getting new cutesy, good words/slogans. After all, such would somewhat
diminish the bigger stations' (with the better lettered-slogans) advantage.
