RE: Brown Eyed Girl -- "Turn up the radio" (Was Re: Market Research)

On a related topic, I had heard that the group Wild Cherry had to record a
version of "Play That Funky Music" without the "white boy" for the Boston
market.  I don't remember the version that WRKO played, but in Providence we
had the "uncensored" version.
Any truth to this.
