I remember somewhat hearing in this time frame some 
ads on television to the effect of, "You can now hear
WSSH on AM too!" with Dick Clark being the pitchman.
Anyone else remember this? Am I totally out to sea...

I want to say these promos ran about the time of the 
second incarnation, as pointed out by Scott's detailed
thesis, quoted above.
