Gene Siskel dead at 53

Film critic Gene Siskel has died of brain cancer at
the age of 53. He's reviewed films for the Chicago
Tribune, TV's "Siskel and Ebert", Chicago's WBBM-TV,
and the "CBS Morning News".

His shows with partner Roger Ebert (beginning with
"Sneak Previews" on PBS) were fun to watch, as the
critics agreed to disagree. Movie fans got
sneak peaks at films, plus commentary from the both
of them, to help them decide which movies to see or
avoid.
Many fans are no doubt giving Siskel "two thumbs
up" for his life's work.
