WQVR Update

  WQVR-Southbridge, MA (100.1) has returned to the air with it's new
transmitter and is currently stunting.  They are playing a six song loop
with a legal ID inserted in between each.  The songs are as follows....

Frank Sinatra--My Way
Pet Shop Boys--Opportunities
Doors--The End
Spice Girls--Wannabe
Sweet--Fox On The Run
Will Smith--Gettin' Jiggy Wit' It.

It seems like they are trying to keep the market guessing.  IMHO--With
sister station WEVO (970) dumping adult standards for oldies, and with
WSRS/WTAG dominating the 45+ demographic--flipping the FM to standards
would be the cheapest and most obvious format to run.  There is a hole
in the Worcester market for a younger-skewing, rhythmic-leaning CHR, but
it's an expensive format to do, and I doubt WQVR will go that route.
