Ed Neal, who I believe is the director of the South End
Community Health Center, or another similar organization,
was their overnight guy. (Ed is African-American.) I saw
an unusual tactic taken a few weeks ago; WZLX took out a
half-page (maybe a quarter-page) ad in The South End News
advertising open positions, and also giving the standard
speech about being an equal opportunity emoployer. When was
the last time you saw a station in a top 10 market advertise
for on-air personnel in a neighborhood publication? Me thinks
they knew/know this was coming.

I know Ed through his managing of a baseball team in Boston's
Park League, and I must say he is a nice guy, from my few
dealings with him.
