I've never heard the term "hypnogogic"  What does it mean?  Intersting
that you mention the effect on WACKY 102: the audio processing was
simple.  On the air and production room microphones (RE-20's) was a
cheesy Shure Mic Mixer/Compressor, for use with PA system.  The air chain
was simply the usual Audimax/Volumax Combo.  I always thought the station
sounded muddy myself.
