Betcha the audio quality wasn't as bad as on my old 45 of the
Sounds Orchestral version that I found in a cut-out bin, or the version on
the used Vince Garaldi (sp?) album that I bought in Newfoundland.

Unless Chancellor shows up with this California swing format on
1430. Think positive. Put out good vibrations. Like, be cool, dad-ee-oh.
Since WQEW died, I've been trying to cozy up to the satellite feed
AS stations here, but none of them have the same sound. I'm sort of lucky,
actually. WDRC (AM) has its little network, so you can get that all over
the local area and WQUN/1220/Hamden has an alternate bird feed. And now,
WGSM / 740 Huntington comes in well in the daytime relaying WHLI/1100,
which has a half-decent New Yorky flavor to it. It would be nice if one of
the satellite services would put on something like Jonathan Schwartz once a
week with a special type of show, or something like that. And my 1999 wish
list includes the hope that WNLC-FM will add 100 feet to its tower. The
signal pops up around my place on a few hilltops.
