Oldies 103 Probably Has A New Listener After Today In The AM: Me.
So I'm In The Car Listening To Paul Perry Nail Every Intro, Play
Songs Like "used To Be My Girl" By The O'Jays And The Predictable
"Grandmaw Got Run Over By A Reindeer", Hoping Now That He's Going
To Be On Boston Radio For A Long Time.
WQEW AM-1560: How About "The Song Has Ended, But The Melody Lingers
On" As Performed By The Mills brothers With Louis Armstrong?????
The Crusin' Series Of Recordings: Can I Still Get Those, Somewhere?
Back To WQEW/New York Times: They Said In their Annual Report For
1997 That Revenue For The Two NYC Radio Stations Was Up 14% And
Operating Profit Was Up 33%. "Both Benefited From The Influx Of
New Health Care Advertisers." (!). "WQEW (1560 AM) Is Still The
Number One Station Playing American Popular Standards."
Sinatra's Passing LasxDt XXXXX Last May, And This: Coincidental?????
There Was Speculation Five Years Ago When NYt BouthXXXXX Bought
The Boston Globe That At Some Point In The}i Future They Would Be
able To Restructure, i.e., Spin Off The Boston Globe Once Again To
Shareholders. I Wonder If What Is Happening At WQEW Is Just The
Beginning Of A Grant XXXXX Grand Restructuring Plan.
Merry Christmas!!!!!
