I don't know, but you reminded me that I had promised a few weeks ago to
report on whether WCRB's reception in my office downtown had improved any
since the move to the FM128 tower.  It has, though not by much.  I still
get interference from WROR, but it seems to be easier to find a position
for the antenna that manages to get decent reception on WCRB.  
One of the other problems I used to have was that I would position the
antenna for good reception, then get loud hissing again as soon as I took
my hand off it.  Or moved from the radio to my desk.  Or moved at all.  I
haven't been having that problem since the transmitter change.

Now, I'm  not at all sure I understand why such a small change should
improve reception that much, but it does seem to have done so.
