WRKO tower reg signs (or lack of)

While pursuing the pagan ritual known as Christmas shopping at The Burlington Mall today I went by the WRKO transmitter site.  I noticed that the "RKO" letters have now been removed from the building (the "W" disappeared years ago).  While there I decided to look for the "tower registration signs" required by law. Guess what - there are NONE!
I checked along the fence both around the building, down the side street along the swamp, then drove out back on a dirt road that comes in from the other side - no signs.  I even checked the tower bases with a set of binoculars - no signs anywhere.  From what I've been reading in Radio World the FAA and FCC have been taking a very dim look of this type of violation and have been quick to "pink slip" the violators.
