RE: news on the weekend re-visited



With all due respect to presidential deaths, and not attempting to sound crass, how many
TV channels or Radio stations need to be simulcasting the same news?  I remember JFK's
funeral, and after so-many hours, enough was enough.  I wish that someone had done some
other programming!

Having said that, I was glued to the TV watching the Iraq attack (we should have continued
to bomb until the job was done...we wimped out, in my opinion), but I'm glad that other
people who either didn't want to watch the proceedings, or were tired of same, had the
option of switching to other channels.

I don't think that because one chooses to watch a football game, for example, over a
presidential assassination, he is un-American, or is heartless.  I remember when President
Reagan was shot. We kept seeing the shooting over and over and over and over and.....
ENOUGH! :)
