Do you know this actually happened or are you speculating?  I can't imagine
that the general public is as concerned about journalistic ethics as those in
the business are, and should be.  I also think it is safe to say that Barnicle
has his fans who would call and defend him after more than 20 years in the
Globe.  Of the people I talk to, opinons are the Barnicle situation seem to be
split 50-50.
