<< CBS has always wanted more coverage in NH. (After all they *do* have
their own ABC affilliate.) As someone mentioned Ch. 21 was a CBS affill
for about a week. And there was some talk that CBS was going to
affilliate with a *cable system* in NH for better penetration. This
woulda been a first...to bypass an over-the-air station to feed CATV
directly. CBS contended that they were doing this as a last resort.....
as there were no stations to affilliate with. >>
Mike Hemeon responded:
<<Fox has been doing this since they started. It is a great idea. Allows the
local cable companies to sell the local avails.>>
And Fox uses Translators for WMUR in Berlin and Littleton NH as well, since
WMTW has ABC well covered up north. (originally in exchange for Ch 9
carrying FOX/NFL)
WNDS is would overlap much of WBZ's northern coverage area, and since
CBS is the o/o for WBZ, I don't see the CBS-WNDS thing hapenning. (Now if
there was a broadcast signal in the Lakes Region, that would be a different
story...)
