I also read Joe Fitzgeralds column in the Herald and now understand the
reason to cut him off.  If he gets that salty on the other stations, then
they too are remiss in their duties.  If the "Producer" doesn't have the
guts to "Unplug" then he should be summarily dismissed.  I don't think it is
always the "hosts" place to terminate the call, even if it is his/her show.
The screener/producer should make that call without hesitation.  As I didn't
hear the show itself, I would put the blame on the producer and Casey was
right in doing what he did.  The plug should also be pulled on Stern and
Imus when they go overboard on language, no matter how much MONEY they bring
in.  Morality does need to come back to radio!
