Don't know how well local digital radio will work. Have been working on
digital TV project and unlike analog; it is either excellent or absent.
Instead of driving or walking along with your radio and hearing your FM signal
fade a bit, it would just go away.
Something like real audio when the net is busy. This service is better suited
to satellite delivery. With a broad beam, as planned, you will hear it loud
and clear enywhere except in tunnels andunder bridges.
We are having this problem with the TV portion of this "wonderful, new
technology". You either see it, or you don't. Another problem is getting th
different TV formats over the cable systems, but that is another discussion.
