Subject: Retro Network Logos.

As part of the build-up to this May's 50th anniversary celebration of CBS
television, the network had been running vintage network logos and ID
spots (as well as the 1964-68 ID used before color programs on more than
just "Kids Say The Darndest Things").

Since channel 4 is the local CBS affiliate, and as it's about to also
celebrate it's 50th birthday (on June 9th), I wonder if we might be seeing
vintage channel 4 logos used in station ID's over the next few weeks?

Might we be seeing the famous stylized "4" that graced WBZ-TV station ID's
for 35 long years (1961-96)? Might we see the squatty "4" that was the
station's logo around 1960? Might we see the ID logo with the block
letters "WBZ" and "TV" with a triangle with a number "4" inside between
the "WBZ" and "TV" (which was the logo in the late 1950's)? Might we see
some WBZ-TV ID logos from 1948?

Or, Heaven forbid, might we see the red-white-blue "4" logo that lasted
16 months from September, 1996 until this past January?

I also wonder if Channel 4 will run any special programming to celebrate
it's aniversary either on June 9th itself or sometime that week or month.
If any of you have heard anything, let all of us know.

Clairification: The ID used by CBS before color programs between 1964 and
1968 runs regularlly at the start of "Kids Say The Darndest Things". This
month, it has also occassionally run before the start of othert CBS
 programs.
