Another one rides the Bus....

WXXW-Webster, Mass. has changed formats.  They dumped their satellite oldies
format in favor of classic rock, calling themselves "98-nine, the Bus."  Yes,
they're calling it the Bus, complete with bus sound effects and cheesy liners
like "For rock classics, hop on board the Bus...98-nine, the BUS!"  

The Don and Mike show, the syndicated hot talk program which ran in the
afternoon has also been dropped as part of the format change.

The station is currently running jockless, and it sounds locally automated,
however they are doing appearances at area merchants.  I guess a sales guy is
doing these remotes.  The audio and the signal still sound hideous, but I
guess they had to do something.  If you're looking for a chuckle or two, tune
them in---if you can.
