According to the FCC rules ..."stations are required to maintain an
operating schedule of not less than 2/3rds of the total hours they
are authorized to operate between 6 am and 6 pm local time and
another 2/3rds of the time they are authorized to operate between 6pm
and midnight each day of the week except Sunday" Daytimers need only
comply with the 6am to 6 pm requirement. The flea-powered nighttime
powers are optional. So during June, WNTN is in compliance even if
they stay on for just eight hours. A full time station would be in
compliance if they were on 8 hours during the day and another 4 hours
at night.
