The Boston promoter, at least in the '60s and '70s, was Abe Ford. I
believe Menacker worked in St. Louis.
And yes, Randy Savage's father was a wrestler, Angelo Poffo. Randy's
brother, Lanny, wrestled under the Poffo name a few years back.
There was a famous Polish wrestler named Zbyszko, but I don't believe
Larry is any relation; he just took the name professionally.
By the way, viewers of the current WWF and WCW shows can often catch
glimpses of their childhood heroes. Sgt. Slaughter, Pat Patterson, Jerry
Briscoe, Tony Garea and Gorilla Monsoon are all WWF employees, and
Zbyszko is a WCW announcer.
So nobody remembers Ch. 25's "Bedlam from Boston," eh?
