whatever happened to...

So after John Bassett was one of the Live Five on WBZ, he ended up working
for Curt Gowdy as a GM at WCCM, right?  And then what happened to him?
Also, did we ever ascertain whether Alan Dary is still alive?  Last time I
heard about him, he was doing a traditional jazz and big band show somewhere
and living in New Hampshire...
