As expected, the Portland Press Herald gave big coverage to the announcement
yesterday that they and their parent company are for sale.  The reporter wrote
a pretty objective piece.  Check it out today at

After today it can found on the archives for one week at

One thing mentioned in the story that I had not considered is that the
Portland Newspapers and WGME-TV will have to be sold to different companies
because of the FCC's cross ownership rules.
