I remember them using Bruce on radio during the early 80's....  However,
I don't think they used the TV guys on radio at all hours of the day. 
They always had a weather service to fill in the odd hours when it was
not convenient for the TV guy to be doing the forecast.  
(I also remember they used the TV Sortscaster Roger Twibell for the aft-
drive sportscasts on radio...with Bruce Bradley, during the early 80's..
..)

I think the change occurred when Carey Pahigian became the PD of WBZ. 
The folks at 'BZ considered it a 'coup'(sp?) when they stole the
accuweather service from WHDH.  

My guess is that the "HDH AccuWeather Forecast" was a great image for
WHDH and Jess's banter with the WX guy in the morning was memorable.  

I think BZ wanted to steal that image away.....by grabbing accuweather
when the contract came up.  

Next we'll talk about traffic services and how they all....errr, suck...
