I don't think that they can trademark the bell, because it is the bell on the USS Constitution (or so I was told), therefore
it belongs to all Americans, doesn't it?
The person who recorded it on the ship told me this story, I think that it was Mark Provost.

It's my understanding that the bell is still a trademark owned by the
owners of the former WJIB (FM). I believe it has to be unused for 10
years before Bob can use it.
