Pretty sure it was Alex Stone too. I've actually got a 90 min tape
of 'hit radio 103 back from August of '83 with him working the phones and
spinning "Thriller" by Michael Jackson, Legs by ZZ Top, and some extinct
dance records that were big at the time (early pop/dance).
I've also got some samples of one of the countdowns from about the same
time. That nights countdown included "Family Man"
by Hall and Oates, and "Rio" by Duran Duran.
I think the station adopted the "Power 103" slogan toward the end of it's
existence. I wonder how much the new "Zoo" actually helped kill this radio
station?
