It must have been the old WCME building and transmitter site on Westport
Island.  (near Wiscasset)  The station was originally located on Westport
Island and moved to the Newcastle location around 1990.  That's the only
station that I know of in the area that was on an island.  I'm not sure
though, because I never visited the site.  Westport Island does have a bridge
to the mainland and is not far from US Route 1.
