At Midnight on Monday 3/24 engineers from Broadcast Specialties Inc., Dan
Guy and Gary Hammond threw the switch and the simulcast between "Kixx
101.7" in Claremont (licensed to Newport) and 100.5 in Lebanon ended. The
"Kixx" country format and WXXK call letters moved to 100.5 out of the
studios in downtown Lebanon belonging to co-owned WTSL-AM and WGXL. Back
in Claremont, 101.7 became WVRR The Valley's Real Rock, running Westwood
One's "Adult Rock" satellite format 100.5 had been simulcasting WXXK
since the facility was sold to the owners of WXXK/WTSL/WGXL. It was
formerly WNBX-FM running a locally programmed AAA format
