It may be apocryphal, but there was supposedly a station in San 
Francisco which wanted to identify itself as "WKRP in San Francisco." 
Of course, there's no way a station in San Francisco was going to get 
a W-call.  So they changed their call letters to KRPN.  Their legal 
ID went "This is W  KRPN San Francisco."
