I agree with what you are saying but at the same time, I find it ironic 
due to the number of current generation theatrical movies being released 
with roots from the long ago.

Get Smart, Batman (however many prequels or sequels is irrelavent), 
Rambo, Spiderman, Indiana Jones, The Incredible Hulk, etc. And that 
doesn't even take into account all the 60's to 80's music that is used 
in many movie soundtracks these days.

Go figure.
