With XM/Sirius we're not exactly talking CD quality, more like an mp3 with 
a middle range bit rate.  These services use pretty heavy data 
compression.  They sound OK in a car since you're dealing with 6x9 speakers 
(max) and a lot of ambient noise.  The FM/cassette adapter is not the weak 
link here.
